My weight has been something I have struggled with since childhood. I
have always been overweight for my age/height. It wasn't until the past
few years that I came to terms with my food addiction. This addiction
came to an all-time high shortly after I got married in May 2010. On
January 3, 2011, Husband and I began using the 17 Day Diet. Over the
course of 2011, we both lost weight, but managed to gain a
large part of it back. I know that this food addiction I struggle with
will be with me for a lifetime, but I also know I can overcome it. I am
blessed to have incredible family, friends, and fellow bloggers who have
supported and encouraged me throughout the past year and who, I know,
will continue to do so in the future. I cannot guarantee that I will
always make good choices or resist temptation. I cannot guarantee that
every post will be inspirational/uplifting. My only guarantee is that
each and every typed word will be honest. I am an open book and am so
happy to share this time in my life with any/all who choose to read
about it. I invite you to ask questions, make comments, and share your
own story with me, whether it be publicly or privately. I am very much
looking forward to what the years ahead have in store for my family and
I, as God gives me the strength to restore my body to the healthy,
beautiful, and strong temple He blessed me with.
About Kaycie & UE
I co-own a private speech clinic in a small Oklahoma town where I am a speech/language pathologist. We serve two rural public school districts and private clients through the clinic. I also help men and women significantly improve their health and strive toward financial freedom as an independent ambassador with a natural supplementation company. My husband and I were married in May 2010 and have a beautiful and brilliant 2-year old little girl named Ella.
All of that being said, this is not a weight loss blog, nor is it a food blog. I'm not exactly
sure what it would be classified as? It's pretty much my life typed out.
I am an open book. Please feel free to message me if you have questions
about our diet, my exercise routine (or lack thereof, sometimes),
speech-language pathology, college/grad school, or anything else that
you may come across on this blog that you want to know more about or
just doesn't make sense (which could be a lot). I love making new
friends and hearing about other peoples' lives/journeys.
Welcome to my Unexpected Fortune!
