Okay, so about lunch... I tried to make the balsamic artichoke that they have a recipe for in the book, and it didn't exactly go as planned. I mean, let me rephrase. I cooked it exactly how it said to.. And we tried it.. And it was awful. We didn't have enough time to make something ourselves, so we decided to venture out into the unknown to find lunch. (Our first time eating out since we started the diet) We went to one of our favorite restaurants, A&E, and ordered grilled chicken and steamed broccoli. The server was a little confused about how we wanted it cooked, so the cook came out to talk to us. He explained everything to us, answered our questions, and then had them cook us an amazing lunch. It was excellent! So excited that it went well (and that we were able to resist temptation, cos man do they have some good food!).
Oh, and we also had some fruit when we got home. We each sliced up an apple, poured a packet of Truvia on it, sprinkled it with cinnamon, and zapped it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. It was delicious! Thanks for the suggestion, Robin!!
I almost went to bed just now without posting, oooooopsie. Better late than never, right?
